Unimaginable
Coded
Author: Woman

To the one who coded his way into my heart
We met in a world already half on fire, already tired, already jaded from our respective journeys in life. And yet, from our very first exchange, something about you felt different. You just were. And I, for reasons I still can’t quite explain knew you were special.
In the blur of January, we became two people exchanging words like petals, you wrote updates, and I replied with doodles from my fingertips. Somewhere in that slow rhythm, something sacred happened. With your ingenuity and creativeness you created a space - where our connection could flourish. No noise. Just us.
I will truly cherish your obtuse romantic gestures forever.
You told me you didn’t want to marry until you fixed your status. That your pride and integrity wouldn’t let you shortcut a system. And even in that, even in your refusal to lean too heavily on me - I saw your strength. Your worth. Your heart.
Sixteen years in the shadows, and you never broke. You never sold out. You held on, and somehow, after all this time, you made space for love to find you. For me to find you. This is fate.
And now, here we are two lives once drifting, now holding on. After spending time with you, especially in Stratford, I feel like I’m home with you. Which is why, now, my overthinking mind has me scared. I cannot and do not want to imagine a life without you. I don’t want you to be deported. I don’t want this to end.
Because it’s only just beginning.
I hope you understand and are not sad. I hope you know I do not doubt our connection. All I want is for transparency, no matter how daunting, worrying or troubling you may think I will feel to hear it. I rather hear the hard truths, because to truly build trust you have to navigate difficulties together.
I hope you understand my fears, I hope you know that the worry only comes because I don't want to lose you. After a lot of thinking, I wonder if you'll consider it worthwhile submitting this letter below 👇🏻
